Qualities according to the manufacturer:
A deep, vivid purple colour with a ruby edge. A powerful, multi-layered aroma with subtle perfume scents of field flowers, chocolate, sweet Eastern spices, cedar, cherry liqueur, blackcurrant and black cherry. A strict, tight and focused body with excellent freshness, length and texture, with suede tannins and a finish that reveals significant potential for aging for over ten years. A wine which will remain a classic. We recommend that it should be decanted and remain in the decanter for at least two hours before serving.
Qualities and assessment according to DiVino (September 2012):
A vivid, intense dark ruby colour with soft gleams. An elegant, restrained nose with noble accents of blackcurrant, ripe black cherry, fine ethereal notes, raw meat and somewhat salty nuance of anchovy (black olive). A tight body with a powerful tannic structure, with very fresh yet ripe black forest fruit and a suede, spicily dry finish. The wine will be better in a year from now; it shows a serious potential (2013-2019). An outstanding wine, a classic in its style.

An opaque, beautiful garnet colour; an intense and multi-layered nose with peppers, warm smoke; a velvety body and a very long finish. An outstanding wine.
