Data from the manufacturer:
Variety: 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes came from vineyards in Southwestern Bulgaria. Selective harvesting was performed with utmost care, with careful selection and marking in advance of the grapes, and then of the berries. The wine has matured for 10 months in French oak barrels of 225 and 500 l to achieve development without dominance of the oak.
Qualities according to the Bacchus Magazine:
Opaque garnet colour with a development. Medium intensive, but complex bouquet of sour cherries, smoke, truffles and flowery nuances. The aromas continue in the taste, complemented by much juiciness, sweetness, velvety tannins and a palpable stone fruit.
Qualities and assessment according to DiVino (September 2012):
A very intense garnet colour with brick shades. A complex, noble mature nose with nuances of dried tobacco leaf, tea, dried cranberries and an earthy nuance of moss. A preserved fresh, medium body with a spicily dry finish and a memory of tobacco leaf, cedar and moss. An excellent wine.
