Quality and Ratings according to Catalogue of Bulgarian Wine 2016:
Intense, opaque ruby colour with violet nuances; complex nose with notes of eucalyptus, red pepper, ripe cherries and fresh walnuts; firm body with healthy tannins and outstanding harmony; long finish with a sense of dark chocolate and smoke. An exceptional wine.
Quality and Ratings according to DiVino (September 2015):
Very dense, opaque crimson colour. The nose is delicious and appealing, with notes of liquor (Creme de Cassis), leather, dark chocolate, smoke and carmelised cherries. Firm, rounded and dense in the mouth, with very fine velvety light tannins and magnificent ripe fruit in the flavour bouquet. The finish has a distinct sense of sweet vanila and a smoky aftertaste. The wine has serious potential to age with great appeal (2015 - 2020). Exceptional wine and a classic style (91 points). 2300 bottles.
Remarks from Vinobg:
We tasted it and, being that both teams agreed that the finish has a note of smoke, we asked the boss to comment. He looked up slightly and said, with a light wave of the hand, "You know, it's all smoke and mirrors. Whether this home-made mash is going to poison me or not, that is the question.." The boss is a real Hamlet.
