A lively, dense dark ruby colour. An intriguing, elegant nose with Bulgarian spices (Sicilian honey lily, savory), dark chocolate and juicy, ripe blackberries and black cherries. Vibrating freshness in the body, which is fine and flexible, with velvety tannins and a dry, lingering finish, which shows significant potential (2013-2018). This wine can age. An excellent wine.
Qualities and assessment according to The Catalogue of Bulgarian Wine for 2014:
Features: intense ruby colour, layered nose with accents of tropical spices - cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, but fresh mint and ripe plum body with velvety tannins and excellent balance, fresh and juicy, long finish, again with spices. The wine is unfiltered.
Assessment: an outstanding wine.
