This wine was not mentioned on the website of Vinprom Peshtera SA (as of 18 October 2012). After nearly a year (29 August 2013), the situation was still the same.
Qualities according to the Catalogue of Bulgarian Wine for 2014:
A dense, opaque colour with a violet hue; a nose with nuances of peppers, fresh plum, wooden box; a powerful body with velvety tannins and an earthy character of the palate; a long finish with preserved fruit. Assessment: a good wine.
Comment of Vinobg:
We agree with the Catalogue of Bulgarian Wine for 2014, but would rather assess it as “drinkable“. We wonder from which barrel the wine that won the Golden Rhyton came. In any case, our bottles don’t seem to have been filled from it.
